Main goal:
The Match Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the delivery of match operations for UEFA club competitions and supporting the Football Operations unit as needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as the match operations team's main point of contact for competition-related matters;
- Liaising between clubs and internal stakeholders such as the competition management, commercial operations, TV operations and event operations teams;
- Ensuring that the Club Competitions Match Monitoring Overview is kept up to date;
- Anticipating and flagging up issues;
- Ensuring that each competition's operations are consistent with those of other club competitions;
- Developing and executing project plans and cross-functional communication structures needed to deliver projects;
- Ensuring a clear overview of topics relating to match operations for a given competition;
- Undertaking case management;
- Handling stadium-related matters;
- Providing matchnight support from the Match Command Centre for non-centralised and centralised matches;
- Escalating any major issues (match impact, political, media, etc.) to the Match Operations Team Leader;
- Carrying out established season deliverables for club competitions;
- Supporting the match operations team;
- Leading the review and update of operational documents relating to club competitions and aligning them, where appropriate, with those of other competitions;
- Reporting to the Match Operations Team Leader regarding:
- The status of competition delivery and performance levels according to agreed KPIs
- Any proposed improvements or developments
- Any issues regarding competition delivery according to agreed KPIs
- Any organisational and procedural problems or conflicts
Profile:
Experience required:
- From 4 to 6 years' experience in an international environment, ideally in sports or for a sports organisation
Education:
- Bachelor's in sports management, international relations, business administration or another relevant field
Languages:
- English / Proficient
- Knowledge of several languages would be an asset
Additional requirements:
- Adobe Creative Suite / Intermediate
- MS Office / Advanced
- Project Management / Intermediate
- Good knowledge of the football industry or a passion for football
- Strong interpersonal and soft skills
