A leading global manufacturer of industrial equipment serving various industries is seeking a Director for one of their production sites in Switzerland.

Driven by its mission, the organization creates innovative solutions to address challenges across diverse sectors. Operating on a global scale, it has a team of over 4,000 people spread across more than 45 locations worldwide. The organization is a member of an international industrial conglomerate that is publicly traded on the NYSE.

About The Site Director Role

The Director will be responsible for strategic planning, operational execution, and achieving financial targets while managing key costs. This role entails leading all site associates, offering direction, feedback, and fostering the site's culture.

This role will oversee the company's operations in Switzerland, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to QHSE standards at the site and will implement corporate strategies and drive site-specific targets and initiatives.

The Director is expected to be present on site. The position will require regular travel, mainly in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, ensuring smooth execution, meeting financial targets, and controlling costs while enforcing compliance and quality standards.
• Build and lead a cohesive team, focusing on motivation, development, and effective communication, and drive continuous improvement in production processes.
• Oversee financial planning and control, monitoring liquidity and financial planning, and providing input for annual planning, while supporting sales growth and customer satisfaction.
• Report to senior stakeholders, manage group policies, and maintain positive relations with partners, shareholders, and authorities.
• Strengthen collaboration across the company, represent the company internally and externally, and enhance its public profile through events and speaking engagements.
  
  

Key Requirements

• University degree, preferably in business administration or engineering
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant managerial role, ideally with overall responsibility for a production site or alternatively leading a cross-functional team
• Experience working in a global matrix organization within an industrial B2B environment
• Fluency in English and German, French and/or Italian would be an advantage
• Possesses strong technical knowledge in industrial processing, automation, and product innovation, complemented by a results-driven approach and action-oriented mindset
• Skilled in navigating complex organizational structures and balancing stakeholder interests, fostering strong team dynamics, and optimizing work processes
• Demonstrates resilience under pressure, effectively manages crises, maintains a positive attitude, and fosters open dialogue and collaboration within a matrix environment.
